  • In the simplest variant, players move in the real world (RW) while leaving an ever growing tail of walls in the virtual world (VW). They must not crash into or cross the VW walls created either by themselves or others. The winner is the player who lasts the longest without crashing.

It combines strategy of surrounding territory with athletic ability to run and move. The Parkour variant is played in a large area, and RW obstacles, such as walls, trees, hills, and ditches become significant. A noncompetitive variant, iTron:Sketch allows players to work collaboratively to “draw” VW art over the top of an image of the RW, with different variants combining elements of artistry, planning and coordination, and real time athletic ability. Finally, iTron:POD! adds
VW traps and pitfalls to the base iTron game to increase complexity and interest.
