  • Two teams of 6, each led by a powerful Queen, face off to be the first to recover five precious flower cups, horde fifteen morsels of nectar, or assassinate the enemy Queen.

    The action is fast! So you’ll have to be quick with your NES controller. Beware! Don’t let the stunning retro graphics projected on a giant screen melt your face off!

    Designer: Joshua DeBonis & Nikita Mikros

    Joshua DeBonis is a game designer, programmer, and musician. He runs a small indie game studio called Sortasoft LLC and has extensive experience as a game design and development consultant. Joshua organizes the New York board game designers playtest group. He also teaches game design and development at Parsons the New School for Design.

    Joshua is particularly interested in exploring ways to integrate history and music with games, procedural generation of game content, and in creating games that provide a deep and meaningful experience in a short play time.

    Nik has been a professional programmer since 1994 and a game designer since 1997. He currently serves as creative director for both Tiny Mantis and SMASHWORX. He has taught various game design, multimedia and programming classes at the MFA Computer Art Department at SVA since 1995. He has also taught at Sarah Lawrence College, Seton Hall University, Mercy College and Harvestworks.

    He received his MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts in 1993, and a BA in Fine Art from Queens College in 1989.

    Nik is particularly interested in the intersection of drama and gameplay.
