Sychron Showdown

A playful battle on a light projected colored chess-like floor

A playful battle on a light projected colored chess-like floor where players in teams of two compete against each other in timed turns, while playing their respective roles. One player acts as the physical piece on the chessboard, role-playing and improvising, while the other player controls their movement by directing the light projection of their team’s color through a keyboard.

While the player role-playing as a battle piece has to dodge squares with mines, at the same time the digital player has to guide them away from randomizing traps which only they can see on their screen.

Together, both players will have to engage in a showdown while navigating trust in a battle involving equal parts improvisation and synchronization through non-verbal communication.
