Weenis Wars pits teams of 2 against each other in a frantic scramble to snatch as many weenis clips as possible!
Designers – Jorge Andrés Brake, Yu-Ting Feng, Vitor Freire, Vanessa Joho, gj lee, Jon Wasserman
Jorge Andrés Brake is a graduate student at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, exploring the creative uses & applications of communications technologies across a variety of disciplines. Born in Peru and based in NYC, Jorge has lived in 6 different countries around the world. He thrives on cultural idiosyncrasies and diverse perspectives as a source of creative inspiration. Currently, he’s learning and experimenting with interaction design, computational media, programming, web development, game design, and UX/UI design.
Yu-Ting Feng comes from an island nation called Taiwan, and now inhabits another island – Manhattan. She has a BA from Yuan Zen University of Taiwan, and a diploma from the Chinese Film Association. She brings with her the skillset of a filmmaker, and academic background in communications, technology and art. She worked with a number of international non-profit and art-related organizations, participated in events such as Reduce the Digital Divide in Africa, India, and Nepal. Post-Actitud Exhibition in Mexico, International Folk Festival in Italy, and off Avignon Festival in France. Her works have been nominated to film festivals in Tokyo, Bejing, Kaohsiung and Taipei. Yu-Ting is also the co-founder of IMoviee.com and 5406 Ltd.. In addition, she has taught at both national and private universities. Yu-Ting is currently a freshman in the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Her script “Seven Days After a son death” won the best screenplay award in Taiwan in 2012. She is focusing on how to use interactive and story to make people know each other deeper.
Vitor Freire is a story designer, filmmaker and interactive director. He has a track record of innovative projects involving branded content, narrative universes and entertainment platforms working with brands in Brazil. He is currently receiving a Masters Degree from NYU in Interactive Telecommunications.
Vanessa Joho is a 27-year-old designer and creative coder, based in New York City. She creates user-focused, functional, usually interactive projects. She is passionate about developing projects that serve an educational purpose. She’s currently receiving a Masters Degree from New York University in Interactive Telecommunications. She is spending the summer in San Francisco working for Akamai Technologies, as a User Experience Designer.
gj lee is an artist and designer. Currently she is a graduate student at NYU-ITP. Follow her on twitter at @geeeeeejay
Jon Wasserman comes from a film and photography background and is now a Masters candidate at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. He enjoys FPS, Puzzle and Adventure games, as well as social action and indie games. He was partnered with the voice of SpongeBob on a pilot episode of Taboo the board game. It was a predictably bad experience.
